Supplements for testosterone / hormone levels

Compared by effect and evidence certainty. Cost is not currently assessed, and nothing here is sold to you.

Vitamin Dgrade Clow certaintyMeta-analysis in men: vitamin D supplementation may increase TOTAL testosterone, but showed no significant effect on free testosterone, FSH, LH, SHBG, free androgen index or estradiol. The isolated total-testosterone signal is modest and the authors call for further well-designed RCTs.

Safety: minor — Magnesium is a cofactor in vitamin D metabolism; the two are complementary.. Cost: not assessed. Evidence gaps: certainty or evidence strength remains limited.

Ashwagandhagrade Dvery-low certaintySystematic review of 4 trials (only 1 RCT, mostly uncontrolled before-after): testosterone up 17%, LH up 34%, semen concentration +13.57 million/ml; authors call their own evidence "too limited to provide sufficiently robust evidence".

Safety: moderate — Ashwagandha with an SSRI may carry additive sedative/serotonergic risk; evidence is limited.. Cost: not assessed. Evidence gaps: certainty or evidence strength remains limited.
